For the past two weeks, since we got back from our For the past two weeks, since we got back from our six week trip to South-america, I've been cooking healthy meals like a crazy witch woman! My daily craving is lots of vegetables and fresh herbs. I feel like my body is communicating to me that it is time to prepare for the upcoming cold seasons. We have about fifteen different herbs growing in our herb garden and I use them in all the dishes I cook 🌿 My all-time favorite herb is sage, which I also used in this soup - It's not just for burning and smudging!😝 I use sage on a daily basis for over twelve years. Ancient cultures believed eating sage was the key to eternal life and immortality. It is the ultimate immune system booster, ensures a healthy womb, balances and activates the throat chakra and heals the respiratory tract. As fall arrives in the Northern Hemisphere, I recommend using this herb as a tea or in meals daily during the fall and winter seasons, especially if you are dealing with a virus! Organic herbs are at all times the best! !!CAUTION!! NEVER use sage when you are trying to conceive, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Always ask your health care provider for advice before using any herb frequently. With this last ice-cold mango smoothie from my mom With this last ice-cold mango smoothie from my mom and dad's mango trees in my hand, I'm already manifesting our next vacay 💛 @raymond.besems I look back on some beautiful memories with my family. We have seen wild monkeys, amazing sunsets and dolphins in the beautiful nature of South America. Blue-and-gold macaws and other exotic birds flew over our house every day. We even saw a wild macaw eating a mango in one of our mango trees. I also explored my roots and did some ancestral healing work with sacred cacao. 🍹 Once every three or four years I drink a cock 🍹 Once every three or four years I drink a cocktail with booze in it. So that's almost never and my (soon to be 7yo) daughter is not used to seeing me drinking. She was immediately concerned when she noticed me with this big glass of piña colada — see second photo 🤣 She thought it was just alcohol, so I explained it was only a small amount of alcohol mixed with juices. But her concerns were valid, because the next day I experienced painful cramps and could still feel the alcohol burning like poison in my body. I had to stay in bed almost the entire day while I only drank half the glass.. It was a good reminder of why I 'never' drink alcohol 😅 My body can't handle it!! I'm not against drinking alcohol, but it's just not for me! I believe that everyone has their own responsibility to discover what is good for the body, mind and soul. Please, just give me divine herbs instead 😉 The rest of that evening was great! They even had amazing vegan meals (which they didn't have a few months ago) in this luxurious restaurant of Surinam's most famous hotel. There were so many synchronicities that presented themselves and it felt like it was meant to be!! We walked along the river at night where trees were beautifully decorated with lights - a true fairytale setting. I just made one bad decision, but it taught me a precious lesson.
